RSA Staff_Habitat for Humanity Park PreserveFourteen Ragan-Smith employees and their spouses recently participated in Habitat’s “2010 Fall Build” at Park Preserve on October 25, 2010.  The Park Preserve Subdivision, located in northeast Davidson County, had six different homes under construction and the RSA team was assigned to one of the six home sites, along with 10 to 15 additional volunteers.  These houses are built over four weekends and Ragan-Smith's particular home project was on Day 1of the building schedule. Nothing but a concrete slab was there to start, and the RSA volunteers spent the day erecting wall panels, installing house wrap and roof trusses, building and installing rafters, painting, and sweeping. By day’s end, volunteers say there was the productive and fulfilling experience of being able to tell the structure was now a house.

The Park Preserve Subdivision is currently the largest Habitat development in the United States.

Ragan-Smith will continue to provide financial support to HFH throughout the year at their various fundraising events and fill volunteer positions on Habitat’s Strategic Construction Committee and L.E.E.D. Committee for current and future developments.
